Well - saying that 2015 has been an interesting year is putting it very mildly. It has been an incredible roller coaster of a year. I am just glad that it is ending on a positive note on both career and personal front.
On the career side, on December 16th, my heart skipped a beat when I saw a call from +33 number. I rushed to end the meeting I was in, and when I got the call the second time, I rushed to pick it up. I do not remember much after hearing the words 'congratulations' as my adrenaline shot up. Finally, I had an offer to join a business school program. Amen. INSEAD - here I come.
I might have a post in the future on my application journey leading to admission in the INSEAD 17J class, however, I do not intend to use this blog to reflect too much on the past. My goal is to use this platform to capture the expected adventures and moments as they happen. I anticipate the next couple of years to be crazy busy and this blog could be an outlet to jot down my thoughts and create a record for reflecting back on these times. More importantly, I hope reflecting on my experiences will help me in identifying and pursuing my passion. I want to talk about emerging futuristic technologies, my personal finance journey, tennis, reading, writing, traveling and any other thing that I find fascinating.
Lastly, I anticipate the excitement not just from the INSEAD journey, but also from the personal front. I will be engaged before I start the MBA journey and potentially marry right after I graduate. It might not be an easy journey until we are together but I am so much looking forward to spending rest of my life with this gem of a person. I am incredibly lucky to have her in my life.
There will be lots more to write in the next few months with the upcoming trip to India in April and then to France in August! More on those later!
Ending on one of the best quotes out there - "It's not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years". Cheers to that!
